  • Black Girls Smile: An organization focused on Black girls & women that has workshops on affirmations for healthy body image and incorporating healthy daily habits, as well as a mental wellness toolkit with some nice affirmations. (Website)
  • Ourselves Black – Online magazine focused on the Black experience with mental health resources. (Website)

  • Black Emotional and Mental Health Collective (BEAM): This organization offers a variety of community programming like “Black Health Remixed” about mental health education in the Black community, and “Black Masculinity (re)imagined” about mental health and community violence for Black men and masculine folks.   • Community Healing Network: An organization founded by Maya Angelou and others that does work around community healing among the black community. The Community Healing Network also plans events and hosts a podcast related to cultural healing. (Website)
  • Boris Larence Henson Foundation: This organization is dedicated to increasing access to mental healthcare among the Black community by offering five free therapy sessions and doing “wellness pods” on HBCU campuses across the country teaching psycho-education & coping skills. (Website)
  • The Liberate app: A daily meditation app for black individuals that focuses on their experiences and path to healing. Download the app (Website and app)
  • The Safe Place app: An app geared towards the black community that contains mental health education and resources with the goal of increasing access to mental health care in minoritized communities. (App)
