- Text #start. This will kick off a brief check-in so Sprout can understand what’s on your mind.
- Then, Sprout gently nudges you to think about a recent social media experience.
- Next up, Sprout helps you think through what happened. It gives you a simple list of common negative things that can happen online. And after you’ve shared, it immediately points you towards things you can do.
- Sprout brings you to a simple menu that you can access any time by texting #menu.
- This menu is broken down into four main areas:
- You can get support specifically for you (1 – I’d like to learn about how to get support for myself.)
- You can try out different coping activities to calm your mind and how you’re feeling (2 – I’d like to do an activity to calm down or feel better.)
- You can get real, practical strategies to problem-solve what’s happening (3 – I’d like to learn how to deal with online negativity.)
- You can even learn how to support a friend who’s going through it (4 – I saw someone else experience online negativity & want to learn how to help them.)
- Texting #help instantly brings up a list that you’ve already set up: your trusted contacts, professionals, and crisis hotlines like the 988 Lifeline if you need more immediate help.
- Sprout will reach out with positive messages and skills so you can connect whenever is good for you.
- You can use this website to dig deeper into resources and skills whenever you want (5 – I’d like to visit Flourish’s website.)
- You can request help from the Flourish coach whenever you need it — you can expect a response to set up a call within a few days (7 – I’d like to speak with a Flourish coach.)
